Bill McCaffrey is a senior communications strategist with nearly two decades of experience developing and executing crisis communications, public relations and public affairs programs in Chicago City Hall and Illinois state government. 

Bill maintains that integrity, accuracy and professionalism are the keys to delivering sound advice that produces positive results in any industry. 

During his tenure at the Chicago Mayor’s Office under Richard M. Daley and Rahm Emanuel, Bill’s roles included on-the-record spokesperson and communications adviser for nearly every major city department, from Aviation to Streets and Sanitation. 

He also served as media relations lead for Chicago Public Schools, the third-largest school district in the country. 

Bill is a Chicago native and has lived most of his life in the City of Big Shoulders. He graduated from Columbia College in Chicago.  

After college, Bill spent seven years reporting on professional sports for the Associated Press. He notes that opening day of the White Sox 2005 championship season was, unfortunately, his last sports assignment.
