Tyler Clark is director of Public Affairs and Innovation at Serafin, helping clients understand and navigate the forces driving progress in government, business and politics.
Tyler combines subject matter expertise, tactical statehouse experience and a knack for bridge-building to help clients find common ground with every public affairs stakeholder they face, from residents and customers to interest groups and government policy makers.
Tyler led the administrative and legislative effort for unifying Illinois’ state government IT functions and served as the first chief of staff at the Illinois Department of Innovation and Technology. He was a policy analyst specializing in taxes and economic development in the Illinois Senate and later served as Senate liaison in the Governor’s Office of Legislative Affairs, advising on government operations, public safety and higher education. He served as field director for multiple state Senate political campaigns.
Tyler speaks and writes about the accelerating pace of business and public affairs spurred by digital technology. He is a member of the Illinois State University Alumni Board of Directors.
Tyler and his award-winning bird dog Grace spend their spare time honing their skills for hunting season.
Tyler received his undergraduate degree from Illinois State University and his Master’s degree in public administration from the University of Illinois-Springfield.
